The mind tastes like a monkey

Title isn't relevant! Let's go on an imaginary journey deep w/ in the universal cortex membrane, i.e. the mind, the head, the psyche... Inside the dark brine of your walnut-shell skull swirls a wondrous pool of forgotten fantasy. Do you remember being a child, by a ditch and a tree w/ a vine and thinking you were Indiana Jones swinging whip-first over the grand canyon? Remember your action figures and the elaborate fort a molded block of Styrofoam could provide? Of course I am speaking from the male-child's point of view - but, for you purdy gals poking yer nose into this perverse blog, remember the Strawberry Shortcake dream house and all those stinky lil' dolls inside??? It was your private wonderland.

The guts-o-this rant are gonna manifest as the loss of innocence. You ever wonder why there aren't more inventors? More mathematicians? More creative thinkers? What was going on in the Renascence? Where did all the masterful thinking come from? Its simple - we, as a species, see it necessary to breed out imagination at a young age because it is not conducive to the logical stream of life: school, career, money, money, money, marriage, children, death. Not very exciting, huh? But it has been time proven to get you through life. "Get you through life."? Is life something to merely "get through?" If you are a conservative, then, maybe. But, as an animal, as a species of this planet - we are to hunt, frolic, enjoy, provide benefit for and reap from the Earth's soil. We are not meant to be locked in a cubical, apartment, city block or any other confining structure, especially the skull. That gray-meat in the middle holds limitless open space beyond even our understanding of the universe outside of our planet. The only reason we ever feel "trapped", "stuck", "lost", "in a rut" or any other boundary-fast emotion is because we build a wall of safety, well established by our logical minds, to provide security in our every declining mental and social lives. As a species we are destroying ourselves by destroying the lines of communication between ourselves. As a species, we are worrying ourselves to death - and it is all on the account of dissolving the imagination and abandoning all right-brain activity.
