Republicans skirt the law again...

Palin attorney Thomas Van Flein argued Thursday that Todd Palin did not have to comply with a subpoena because Alaska state law bars ethics investigations of people running for elected office. Though the law appears to apply only to candidates for state office, a McCain-Palin spokesman said the subpoenas violate "the spirit of the law, if not the letter."

I'm sorry to the author, I don't remember who you are or who published it - but don't worry, no one reads my blog...

Read this - especially the last statement. Make you think (scream) WTF?!?!?!? Me too. First Bush and Cheney and their justices and their out of work aides set the bar by refusing subpoenas served in the investigation of the Supreme Justice firings. It seems the future republican wanna-be's are choosing to follow in suite and their "executive privilege" has not even begun. I'm just waiting for best friend Bush to step in and exonerate Sarah of all charges. Then have daddy rig the election for a third glorious time. Pretty much what is happening with the introduction of known-faulty electronic voting machines and databases.

Taking a step back, I am still in awe and want explanation of the statement, "the spirit of the law, if not the letter." I wonder, does the American government practice a looser law, in the "spirit of the law" of course, with their own - because every time I have ever stood before a judge, the prosecuting attorney was sure as hell practicing the "letter of the law"!

I wonder how even the most low-browed mongoloid mid-western right wing christian conservative could accept the elephant's attempt at nullifying the very constitution which made our country great. Is it your fear of the black man? Are you one of the ignorant who assume Sen. Obama is Muslim based on his appearance? Do you just like that pretty face and milf ass Sarah has in tow? Git yer head out yer ass and listen to the candidates, NOT THE COMMERCIALS! Make your own decision - don't ride on the coat-tails of yer daddy or your buddies.

This election needs to be about the economy and not the hype. Terrorism is not our biggest threat, but the failing economy. Unlike the great depression, when there was very little media available to the common folk, this depression (yes, it is - don't deny it)is saturated by government sympathetic news stations who control media ranging from television, radio to cell text and email - spinning the situation to make it look very much like all is well on the economic front. We are in a terrible depression. Even the moderately wealthy are finding themselves out of house and home in the paralyzing grip of this Bush / Cheney led economy.

McCain is not a bad person, just a bad presidential choice right now, as he has no clue what the common folk is feeling right now. His presidency would allow for a slightly better economy for the common folk and a superior economy for the super-rich. The conservative goal is to bully and buy the world, country by country and let the masses toil to provide their comfort.

Sen. Obama - well, could wanna take over the world too - I don't know. Hell, I want to take it over my self. Not enough money though. He, at least, and his party are adjusting the economy just so, to allow the less financially secure to keep and spend more of the money they earn. He aims to bring jobs back to America by taxing companies who outsource to other countries. So, when McCain's associates (lobbyists) say that Obama wants to raise taxes, they are correct. What they are not telling you is that it works in the favor of the middle and lower class. It only applies to those making over $169.480 a year (source: non-partisan tax analysis group / Channel 7 News, Denver).

As you can tell by my obvious bias, but truthful statements, I support Obama. I urge you to as well - if for no other reason, to get this economy back on track and make the American dollar a force to be reckoned with on the world market again. When America is 490 billion in debt and Iraq is 89 billion in surplus, America is not safe!!!
