I suppose when you have a gripe, you must reduce it down to 2500 characters!

This is a matter of constitutional law:

It is clear that today's government is overly concerned with passing freedom limiting laws to oversee every aspect of American life. I am strongly disappointed with this direction and the level of influence that lobbyists, private corporations and the extremely rich are permitted in running a government which is clearly defined as for the people, by the people.

I believe that you are the president who has the vision and ambition to bring this country back to its constitutional roots. But I also believe you are in a unique position where you may not stand your ground as strong as you should, fighting party and racial boundaries. There are a lot of Americans who are depending on you to return their country to a time when a citizen did not have to fear police, politicians, home owner associations, news organisations and industries. We need for this overblown and dysfunctional 2 party system to immediately cease inter-governmental bickering and begin working together for a stronger land. A country of poor and rich working for the same goal: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness - all goals which are unobtainable under the oppressive, manipulative governmental power America has become.

Please, use your precious time in office to make this country better for all races, financial classes and beliefs-structures. The federal government has no place in the personal lives of its citizens. Scale back individual control. Afford more powers to state governments as they are governed by the people of a region and similar ideologies. Our current structure is beginning to represent a dictatorship rather than a democracy when the federal government restricts travel, speech and personal decision (abortion as an example). When the government says it is working for a healthcare bill to help the less fortunate Americans but protects American drug companies from healthy competition from the world market - I find it hard to believe that anything happening in Washington D.C. today is being done for the good of the country. Hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars were used to help only the largest of corporations while small businesses disappear hourly. The economy is said to be on the rise because the elite class is reporting a profit, but small businesses, unable to obtain governmental support and have learned to make do with fewer employees. This does not lend to job creation. Unemployment is handled through private industry, via credit card companies who charge fees to use the benefits - further raping the lower classes who make up the majority of this great land. The American people cannot feel safe in their personal conversations under the "Patriot Act's" wiretapping provisions. These are just a very limited few of the issues plaguing your constituents - we have so many more problems which the federal government seems to have no concern.

Our forefathers created this nation to escape the oppression of Brittan. In a little over 200 years we have managed to become the exact same oppressive system as we fought to free ourselves from. The common citizen of America, no matter his or her skin color, is a slave of a federal machine, spinning out of control. You, Mr. Obama, my friend and President, you have the power to restore our freedoms. There will never be a better time.

Thanks you,
Rev. The importation of foreign prescriptions allowed healthy competition within the pharmaceutical community. Rather, Americans are told that you are worried about upsetting the pharmaceutical lobbyists. This bill is a complete disaster and will not improve anyone's lifestyle in its current Frankenstein configuration. It will provide more tools for insurance and drug companies to gouge the common person.

I implore you to stand your ground and to not back down to the senate or house. You are our leader, not all those hundreds of corrupt politicians. You call the shots yet allow every fascist voice in government to undermined your vision.

I voted for Obama, the leader of change and the man who would bring America back to its constitutional roots. You are supposed to be a liberal, who defends those who cannot defend themselves. What I see from your actions is a cowardly attempt at appeasing the bourgeois for re-election. How on God's Earth could you ever believe that limiting access to medication could be a good thing for society? I will revert back to an argument from our last interaction that you are making it more appeasing for patients to obtain their medication from violent Mexican drug cartels rather than from legitimate, tax-paying dispensaries or care-givers. You are supporting violent crime and hurting your less fortunate constituents!

You, my friend, are an elephant in ass' clothing!

Sincerely,
Johnny Breedlove

Chris Romer's Blog:

Tuesday, December 8, 2009
Medical Marijuana: A Common Sense Policy for Colorado

Marijuana. Most people see it as a recreational drug and are skeptical of its tangible, medical benefits for patients with chronic pain, including those whose use of prescribed narcotics often leaves them vulnerable to addiction.

Take, for instance, the story of Janice Beecher. A Coloradan since 1968, she suffers from osteoarthritis and chronic back pains. Until recently she had to take as much as four oxycodone just to make it through the day. Fortunately for her, a permit to use marijuana legally allows her to live without debilitating pain to go days without taking this highly addictive drug. Janice explained that “the blessing comes with the knowledge that I can pick what works for me at the dispensary. I don't have to just take what I can get on the black market.”

It is cases like Janice’s that compel us to make common sense policy for medical marijuana usage. Colorado voters spoke clearly when they passed a Constitutional amendment that permitted medical marijuana use, but the amendment left many oversight and regulatory questions unanswered. That is why we are acting in 2010 to honor the intent of the Constitution and help patients.

We need a model that on the one hand, de-stigmatizes and makes available medical marijuana for those who have a medical need, and on the other, keeps it out of the hands of recreational users and black market dealers. Remember, the amendment did not fully legalize marijuana. To that end, any legislation must address the needs of a number of interested parties:

Patients must have access to physicians in good standing who can make a sound recommendation. They also need reasonable access to dispensaries, and some assurance that the marijuana is safe and legally grown.

The general public needs to know that medical marijuana dispensaries and growers are conducting business exclusively with patients, not recreational users or criminals. Coloradans appear willing to permit legitimate clinics, not head shops, in their communities. The public also has little tolerance for bad actors who conduct criminal activity on the side.

Meanwhile, in order to accommodate legitimate patients, dispensaries and growers need the assurance they can establish a viable and sustainable economic model.

And Colorado’s law enforcement community needs clarity from the legislature about what constitutes legal marijuana activity and what does not.

Finally, we must clearly define who qualifies as a caregiver, how they must relate to the patient, and what responsibilities that role entails.

With those considerations in mind, here are some details of the proposed bill: Dispensaries would be subject to regular auditing and reporting requirements. There must be a limit on the amount of marijuana produced and sold at any licensed premise. Small, unlicensed cooperatives—comprised of one caregiver and up to two patients—may operate if they adhere to the limits of the law and register with the state.

In addition, we will eliminate non-medical dispensaries as well as the loopholes through which patients can purchase from multiple dispensaries. Legislation will also provide detail to local law enforcement and prosecutors regarding criminalization of dispensaries, compensation to healthcare providers and caregivers, and punishment for the resale of legal marijuana. And much like with liquor sales, local governments will be empowered to license and regulate the dispensaries.

Finally, licensed chiropractors, physical therapists, optometrists and nurses who register as caregivers will have the ability to treat up to 25% of their annual medical marijuana patients without a license.

Passing such legislation makes Colorado the first state in the country to create a reasonable and patient-focused medical marijuana regulatory model. And if we focus on helping patients like Janice Beecher while appropriately regulating the market I have no doubt that we can create a common sense policy that works for Coloradans.

Posted by Chris Romer at 12:20 PM

Visit Sen. I appreciate your attempts at correcting the messes of previous administrations. It was that promise which earned my vote. Having stated my position - there are several current events I would like to comment upon and pray that you will consider my concerns.

First, and this is my main dissatisfaction with the direction of your administration: In attempt to fix a lot of America's problems you are introducing more laws which surmount to more restrictions upon your constituents and Americans in general. More opportunities exist now for financial punishment or imprisonment. Our beautiful country was founded on a very basic principal of good living, leaving personal choice in everything from religion to fire-arm rights to the people. In today's government there are so many rules and regulations which dictate down to the very detail how we eat, breath, drink and live. And with every passing day another regulation finds its way into what is supposed to be a country based on freedom. I sincerely ask you, where is freedom in dictation? If you wish to leave a lasting impression on American history you would be better off to remove all of the amendments which do not fit into the original design of our country. If I can be jailed for consuming a substance; if my children can be removed from their family because I don't require them to wear a helmet while riding a bike; if the local police can confiscate my vehicle and charge exorbitant impound fees because I left my wallet at home; if the police can invade my home without a warrant on a technicality; if I cannot buy my child a 50cc or smaller motorcycle because the government is afraid my child may eat the hand-brake handles - my, our, your government has overstepped its boundaries in complete disregard to the guaranteed freedoms every American is born into. Please fix this!

I would also like to address the attempted criminal charges against 2 people who wanted to meet their president. I will first state that I do not approve of such an act for the purposes of a reality show. Now I will explain that this is supposed to be a government for the people by the people. You are an employee of all Americans, including these two people. They were cleared by security and allowed into your dinner. They shook hands with their elected leader and had a few photo ops. I do have to protest! The White House is public property, owned by every legal, tax-paying American. You are where you are because of us Americans. To peruse charges against these two people is an attack against all Americans. Please make the correct choice, moving forward in this matter.

Finally, for now at least, please remember that just because the rich are reporting gains, it does not mean, at all, that the recession/depression has ended or is showing signs thereof. Employers have learned to make do with fewer employees as the employees, the lucky few, have accepted working harder for less. I am lucky. I have a job but no chance of promotion or raise. Rent just went up. The stimulus package protected inflation and that is all. The reason we are in this mess is because the greedy had figured a way to make the citizens of your great nation pay outrageous fees for what they used to expect for less. The kicker is that the cash that it took to protect inflation came from the pockets of the people who cannot afford inflation.

I believe you to be an extremely compassionate man and president. I compel you to remember that the majority of your voter ranks lie in the lower to middle class. You will not ever receive a better opportunity for re-election than to remember the small people who eagerly voted for you in hopes for a better America. The greatest land of this planet.

Thanks you,
Rev. It amounts to nothing more than discrimination - discrimination against those who choose a natural alternative to addictive opiates and liver damaging NSAIDS. You are choosing to pillage cancer patients, A.I.D.S. victims, those affected by MS, the crippled and injured. For what? Because you're an opportunist, nothing more than a bureaucrat looking to capture votes. What you cannot see from your high horse is that after paying doctor bills and diagnostic fees and travelling from hospital to hospital to maintain some level of comfort in our lives, patients do not have an excess of extra cash. Dispensaries already charge an exorbitant fee for medicine which makes it more attractive to purchase medicine from criminals on the street. Adding a tax (which, by the way, constitutionally can only be placed on luxury items such as alcohol and tobacco - which are not prescribed by doctors) will increase the number of street purchases, fueling criminal activity. The passage of this law would be a catalyst providing for Mexican drug lords. Rather than trying to penalize the sick and injured of your state, you would be viewed in a far more favorable light by the people of Colorado if you were to regulate the amount a clinic is allowed to charge for medication. If properly regulated, in a manner which would not allow a clinic to charge more than street costs for medication, the proposal of a tax may actually be palatable.

Before you begin to think of ways to take money from the less fortunate in life, you would be wise to think of ways to help those who rely on medication to live with dignity afford their medication by putting an end to profiteering. I hope you can see the error of your original proposal and go back to the drawing board. I can assure you that by addressing medical marijuana as a profitable legal agenda will get you nothing but a substantial loss in votes for re-election.

Please make the compassionate choice.

Sincerely,
Rev. Johnny Breedlove

  Chris Romer <chris.romer.senate@state.co.us> </chris.romer.senate@state.co.us>

  Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 6:27 AM

To: Reverend The Dying Breed

Thank you. I believe we can help provide affordable medical marijuana by increasing supply. It is economics 101, supply not a 2.9% tax determines price. That said your concern for your patients is my focus not revenue for the state. I would like to fund more substance abuse programs.

Chris

Chris Romer
State Senate, District 32
Capitol: 303-866-4852

Check out my blog at www.chrisromer.blogspot.com

  Sat, Nov 21, 2009 at 9:23 AM

To: Chris Romer <chris.romer.senate@state.co.us> </chris.romer.senate@state.co.us>

I don't understand how adding a tax will increase supply. Currently, in Longmont, there are 5+ dispensaries open. The price of medicine has been steadily going up as more shops open. Next, I need to ask, is your 2.9% tax on top of the 8.x% tax that is already being charged in Longmont and Boulder?

Where we stand right now, to purchase illegal street meds, possibly from a Mexican cartel, one would pay a flat cost of $100 for 1/4 oz and $320-380 for an oz. At a dispensary the same amount of medication costs $120 1/4 oz and $380-480/oz. Those prices already include an 8.025% sales tax in Longmont taking the prices up to $129.63 1/4 oz and $432.10/ oz (on the low end). Add 2.9% on top of that?

I would not be so opposed to the tax, but only if price regulation was considered in the process. A legal distributor should never be allowed to charge more than street prices. It fuels violent crime. I do not support you on using the money for rehab. Addicts will only quit when they are ready. For some, that time never comes. It is not a beneficial use of the funds generated. If I have to pay a tax on my natural meds and opiate patients do not, I want to have a say in where those funds go. In this economy, there are over 100 other uses for that tax money that would make more sense than rehab. (Healthcare for the poor??? You are taking the money from the sick and injured.)

Please take this plan back to the drawing board. In its current state it amounts to not much more than an attack on sick folk who choose not to consume chemical pharmaceuticals.

Sincerely,
Rev. Johnny Breedlove

  Chris Romer <chris.romer.senate@state.co.us> </chris.romer.senate@state.co.us>

  Sat, Nov 21, 2009 at 11:26 AM

Thank you. I

Part 1:

I'm back at the tavern - the Niwot tavern. Its only about a block from my house. I came here last night for the $2 beer special. Its ongoing every weekend. What a change - last night this place was bustling with crazy old drunk characters telling stories of their pasts, present and future - dreams - ambitions; spilling out like vomit from a bucket in a stomach flu ward.

I spent the day in the mountains. I traversed probably 10 miles of severe mountain road. (blub blub blub blub) Its left me with a horrible case of gas. The rain clouds are spilling over the mountains into town. Its like a slow moving behemoth. A lot of rumbling, grumbling - flashing, but not a drop of rain to speak of. It was raining like crazy in the hills today. Nearly sank my truck twice.

This is the most wonderful, magical time of the year. The rain makes every ting green and lush. The canyon was glowing with a neon, fresh-growth green fresh outta a Ken Kesey acid test. It was good just to be in the hills again. Last summer gas was too expensive to spend much time exploring. Hopefully this summer won't be a repeat.

Part 2:

The sky oozes with electricity as the storm rolls over the mountains into the flatlands. I live too close to the foot hills of Colorado for any real storms to occur. We rarely get snow or even rain. Just some sprinkles and a lot of pollen.

Tonight the storm rolled over just in time. The sun is setting forging the clouds in a deep grayish blue with light blue veins peaking through. The warm breeze ushers the clouds in while the cottonwood seeds dance gently on the breeze. To nights weather sets up the perfect atmosphere for romance. Two strangers outside a pub - their love grows - so does the intensity of the storm. Thank god I'm not the type of writer to write that shit, huh?

The breeze just caught a chill and changed direction. The ballet has begun. Within minutes there should be thunder, lightning and rain - but this is Colorado - that most likely will not happen.

The spring is a wonderful time of year. Everything is new and fresh - and full of histamines. Girls start dressing in their sensual summer cloths - and I believe there is something inside their biology that makes them a little extra frisky this time of year.

To orchestrate in this dance of Mother Nature, near silent, very quiet Pink Floyd's "Us and Them" plays somewhere in the background. Tonight is the perfect daydream - very serene.

Part 3:

There's a hum of the kitchen fans, I would assume, behind me. In front of me is a parking lot with many businesses. There are many high pressure sodium and metal halide lights lighting it. There are two roads, off to my left and one in front. It builds the fantasy of sitting next to the interstate in some little business hotel - possibly even a sleazy motel or something of the sort - drinking domestic beer. The beauty of it is - the cop-shop is only about 50 steps away from where I sit. Sheriff trucks everywhere. "Welcome to the Machine" Pink Floyd is playing in the background - adding to the industrial feel of my situation.

The sun is almost gone. The clouds are shifting direction and carting off to the east. I'm sure when it hits Kansas there will be hell to pay for some small hick-town. None-the-less, where I sit is calm, beautiful and not my house...

Part 4:

Remember the movie - well I gues I should say book, but remember the movie "To Kill a Mockingbird"? It was night and, I cannot remember the boy's name - Gem and.... Anyhow, the boy and girl were walking through the woods and there was a naked metal halide bulb waving in the wind creating an erie effect on the ground and the trees where they were walking. Its when they thought Boo Radley was after them and may infact - no, I may be wrong, it is the part where Boo Radley saves them - anyhow, there is a similar light being shown over a sheriff car nearby - very much like a dream. A very horrific dream that involves pigs. But tonight the pigs sleep. They're all out on the road busting drunks. Im in the safest place you can be to be a drunkard - and that is in the parking lot of the cop-shop.

Part 5:

(clank, clank, clank, clank - clank, clank, clank, clank) The banners bang against the streetlamp-poles as the night winds blow. It's a phenomenon, in the summer, when the sun goes down - the winds begin to blow as the air cools. You can feel it in your bones. The nights cool quickly. Its part of the living Colorado. The state itself is alive. It's like one big wheel in motion - delivering spectacular Disney World quality productions night after night no matter the season or time of day - you can always feel it breathing. Grand ole' Colorado.

Drink more Pabst Blue Ribbon brand beer.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thenewgonzo.blogspot.com/2009/05/53109-night-at-niwot-tavern-recorded.html' title='5/31/09 - A Night at the Niwot Tavern - Recorded Stream of Conscience Pt. It has been centuries since God's last recorded communication with human - at this point, we are all in it together and there ain't gonna be no divine intervention to save any our asses. What I am getting at is: You can hate all you want - it only contributes to your pitiful lifestyle and the demise of the species itself. God, Mohamed, Buddha, Krishnah - all of them are either gone or in cahoots when it comes to the destiny of human - and unless we can work together as a species and disregard religious beliefs as a necessity - then, my friends, we are as doomed as the dinosaurs 10 seconds before the meteor.

This blog isn't a public service announcement - by no means, rather it is a plea unto dumb and numb minds or just to those who are too stupid to set aside their un-evolved monkey-man ego to see that you are creating the problems which you are fighting against. What a dream it would be to wake up in whatever god-forsaken shit-hole country you live in - there is no place on earth exempt from this description - and understand that no one means you harm and, therefore, you mean harm unto anyone.

This is R-Evolution. You hear people say things like, "Can you believe the year is over?" and, "Where did time go?". At first I believed I was just getting old, and that as that happens time seems to move quicker. You know, I've never been old before so this is all a learning experience for me. Then I started to hear younger adults and even children utter the same words of amazement. This got me curious, so I started to investigate possible causes. I thought the world may be spinning faster,or that we were just a faster paced society. I looked into the idea that peoples' attention spans had just grown shorter. I looked under just about every rock that I could find leaving no turn unstoned - and, in the end I found all these theories too swiss-cheesed. They all seemed to be symptoms of a much larger problem ('ceptin the one about the Earth spinning too fast - that was just a wild hair). I was frustrated - but didn't have the attention span to worry.

Then, this very morning as I sat on my living-room floor in a puddle of stale beer, browsing free clips of pornography - one of those stoned turns hit me like a drunk hit and run driver. The answer to my query lies in Atomic Time. Let me elaborate:

In our increasingly digital and computer reliant day and age most of the world receives its time via an atomic clock. This means that we are tuned into a select few clocks throughout the world and that is there were even a minute discrepancy in the clock's function, it would throw the entire populous who is relying on that clock for its time into an altered time scale. We already know that the atomic clock is only accurate to a certain degree - but that is supposedly astounding tight because of the atomic resonance timing mechanism within. So - right there we are losing 2 nanoseconds per day or one second in 1,400,000 years. Big deal, right? Well, what if - and there are couple of what if's here - what if there was a flaw in the original mathematical and those numbers are not correct? What if there was a flaw in the design of the clock itself causing it to lose larger amounts of time without the notice of its caretakers? What if - here it is - what if there is a malicious force behind the clock who is conspiring to speed up the American productivity by speeding up time??? The faster time goes, the more of a panic the workforce becomes, faster labor, less downtime, more stress... Sound familiar?

This theory is rather young but I feel it has some pre-substantiated factors involved. Just for kicks, keep a good quality quartz clock next to your digital atomic clock and monitor the time difference on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Until next rant...

I Don't Know Anymore

11/08 /08 – Home Base – Deck – 6:23 pm

Fall has et upon the Midwestern plains, bringing a lustful chill reminiscent of those hoary nights in high school when new love was abound awash in adolescent testosterone fantasies. Nostalgia is in everything tonight – the dogs barking in the distance behind the soft roar of traffic on a distant highway that only comes when the air is cool, the smell of moist fallen leaves, the lonesome cricket hiding in the reeds singing its sad song.

Tonight I sit, seventeen years older, alone in Colorado under the few stars that can be seen this close to the city and think of all the good times there have been along this disturbingly interesting life. I remember faces of the girls who stole my heart and, in turn, became a thread woven into my intricate tapestry. There were stoner buddies and petty thugs peppered throughout the mosaic of places, times, feelings, memories, events, smiles, tears and every other darn thing. I was blessed to not face any measurable amount of tragedy, though a few have occurred around me via friends and acquaintances. This evening I remember the moments which gave birth to the man I am today with silent amazement that my heart still beats and my brain is still relatively capable of coherent thought. Seventeen years from where I once stood.....

....Where on earth does the joy go????

Time passes and builds stresses that snow-coat the mane of the most noble of survivor in the new century. The youthful wonder dries into dust and is blown to the wind. All of the curious emotions of pubescence become a dull “Blah” or are replaced with anger. Personal inter-communications seal up with welds of paranoia and disgust. Then..... Then, one morning, you wake up with a gun in your hand and a half-empty bottle of tequila looking for someone to damage.

Is this really what evolution intended? Is it in our nature as animals to destroy each other until we can destroy ourselves? No matter the angle in which you examine it, it appears that this is so. Civility among humans is such a distant concept that it is just too out of reach for the common person – yet a simple mind such as mine can conceive a world in harmony. Why, then, can't the “greatest” minds of all times?

I'm not here do pretend to deliver answers. I posed all these questions to express to the reader the utter disdain that a human in the 21st century is submerged in on a daily fight to stay afloat.

The Bail Out is Bigger than the Universe is Old...

The Universe is thought to be 13.7 billion years old. Though the law appears to apply only to candidates for state office, a McCain-Palin spokesman said the subpoenas violate "the spirit of the law, if not the letter."

I'm sorry to the author, I don't remember who you are or who published it - but don't worry, no one reads my blog...

Read this - especially the last statement. Make you think (scream) WTF?!?!?!? Me too. First Bush and Cheney and their justices and their out of work aides set the bar by refusing subpoenas served in the investigation of the Supreme Justice firings. It seems the future republican wanna-be's are choosing to follow in suite and their "executive privilege" has not even begun. I'm just waiting for best friend Bush to step in and exonerate Sarah of all charges. Then have daddy rig the election for a third glorious time. Pretty much what is happening with the introduction of known-faulty electronic voting machines and databases.

Taking a step back, I am still in awe and want explanation of the statement, "the spirit of the law, if not the letter." I wonder, does the American government practice a looser law, in the "spirit of the law" of course, with their own - because every time I have ever stood before a judge, the prosecuting attorney was sure as hell practicing the "letter of the law"!

I wonder how even the most low-browed mongoloid mid-western right wing christian conservative could accept the elephant's attempt at nullifying the very constitution which made our country great. Is it your fear of the black man? Are you one of the ignorant who assume Sen. Obama is Muslim based on his appearance? Do you just like that pretty face and milf ass Sarah has in tow? Git yer head out yer ass and listen to the candidates, NOT THE COMMERCIALS! Make your own decision - don't ride on the coat-tails of yer daddy or your buddies.

This election needs to be about the economy and not the hype. Terrorism is not our biggest threat, but the failing economy. Unlike the great depression, when there was very little media available to the common folk, this depression (yes, it is - don't deny it)is saturated by government sympathetic news stations who control media ranging from television, radio to cell text and email - spinning the situation to make it look very much like all is well on the economic front. We are in a terrible depression. Even the moderately wealthy are finding themselves out of house and home in the paralyzing grip of this Bush / Cheney led economy.

McCain is not a bad person, just a bad presidential choice right now, as he has no clue what the common folk is feeling right now. His presidency would allow for a slightly better economy for the common folk and a superior economy for the super-rich. The conservative goal is to bully and buy the world, country by country and let the masses toil to provide their comfort.

Sen. Obama - well, could wanna take over the world too - I don't know. Hell, I want to take it over my self. Not enough money though. He, at least, and his party are adjusting the economy just so, to allow the less financially secure to keep and spend more of the money they earn. He aims to bring jobs back to America by taxing companies who outsource to other countries. So, when McCain's associates (lobbyists) say that Obama wants to raise taxes, they are correct. What they are not telling you is that it works in the favor of the middle and lower class. It only applies to those making over $169.480 a year (source: non-partisan tax analysis group / Channel 7 News, Denver).

As you can tell by my obvious bias, but truthful statements, I support Obama. I urge you to as well - if for no other reason, to get this economy back on track and make the American dollar a force to be reckoned with on the world market again. When America is 490 billion in debt and Iraq is 89 billion in surplus, America is not safe!!!

Register please, if you haven't already.

The mind tastes like a monkey

Title isn't relevant! Let's go on an imaginary journey deep w/ in the universal cortex membrane, i.e. the mind, the head, the psyche... Inside the dark brine of your walnut-shell skull swirls a wondrous pool of forgotten fantasy. Do you remember being a child, by a ditch and a tree w/ a vine and thinking you were Indiana Jones swinging whip-first over the grand canyon? Remember your action figures and the elaborate fort a molded block of Styrofoam could provide? Of course I am speaking from the male-child's point of view - but, for you purdy gals poking yer nose into this perverse blog, remember the Strawberry Shortcake dream house and all those stinky lil' dolls inside??? It was your private wonderland.

The guts-o-this rant are gonna manifest as the loss of innocence. You ever wonder why there aren't more inventors? More mathematicians? More creative thinkers? What was going on in the Renascence? Where did all the masterful thinking come from? Its simple - we, as a species, see it necessary to breed out imagination at a young age because it is not conducive to the logical stream of life: school, career, money, money, money, marriage, children, death. Not very exciting, huh? But it has been time proven to get you through life. "Get you through life."? Is life something to merely "get through?" If you are a conservative, then, maybe. But, as an animal, as a species of this planet - we are to hunt, frolic, enjoy, provide benefit for and reap from the Earth's soil. We are not meant to be locked in a cubical, apartment, city block or any other confining structure, especially the skull. That gray-meat in the middle holds limitless open space beyond even our understanding of the universe outside of our planet. The only reason we ever feel "trapped", "stuck", "lost", "in a rut" or any other boundary-fast emotion is because we build a wall of safety, well established by our logical minds, to provide security in our every declining mental and social lives. As a species we are destroying ourselves by destroying the lines of communication between ourselves. As a species, we are worrying ourselves to death - and it is all on the account of dissolving the imagination and abandoning all right-brain activity.

|------[intermission - to be continued]------|

What a pussy hurricane!

I'm not there, but I'm just sayin' =/

Naw - truth be told, after Katrina the New Orleans has done what was necessary, which was over-react. No known fatalities so far, which is awesome. I think what happened, the evacuation process and all was orchestrated as it should have been with amazing results. Here's the problem: next time, no one will leave. Its back to business as usual for the gulf coast. I mean, hurricanes have been hitting that area for a very long time. Katrina was an exceptional storm and, unfortunately, no one could ever predict, in time, if a storm is gonna be a Katrina or a Gustav.

When I was a boy I was in Clearwater Fla. on vacation with the family when a hurricane, name unknown, came into the gulf. Yes, I mean Wookies! Hippies, dreadies, wanna-be rasta's, bums - whatever you may call them, I'm-a tell you about one I got close to and how ugly that beast turned out to really be. By the way, tonight's drug of choice is Tylenol Cold PM and some beers. Very regrettably, I am not drinking my beloved Pabst Blue Ribbon beer because it has become too popular and my two favorite stores were out. I'm a lil' ill so I settled on Strohs. Pretty terrible tasting stuff.

Back to the story: My buddy of 5 years kinda fits into the wookie category in the fact that he had a big dreadlock jetting from his head like some long unpinched turd when I met him. He masks himself as a redneck now - but, much like you can't remove the trash from the trailer-park, you cannot, and I mean never, become not a wookie once you have lived in the woods for several years and eaten trash.

This weekend, I rode ma cycle up into the hills and scored a primo pay-camp spot (not my usual style, but...) on an over-booked labor day weekend. I knew my friend loved to fish the area and there were plenty of trails for his girl and I to hike so I invited them to come along. It was all excitement and grins at first - beers were drank - bowls were smoke - it was a regular hootenanny. Wookie went toward the river with fly rod in hand while his girl and I went off into the woods to get high. Nothing really out of the ordinary. I ran into my weird hill-jack friend Rev. Giddeon and filmed another rant of his. This time about recycling. The video is in limbo as it is held by an intermediary. When we returned to the river the wookie was just a raging douchebag screaming about how we just left him in the woods and how he climbed the mountain and heard it all. Heard everything. Being the generous fella I am I offered to smoke a bowl w/ him cause, it was his weed, you know. After that there was some ugliness about firewood, hired goons and who my boss is?!?!? I meditated my way through it.

Wookie and gal in tow went back down the hill in a drunken rampage. The gal and I have no bad blood. The wookie has grunted himself outta a friendship. '

Great weekend, huh?

Wanna hear something stupid?

I've been a doomsday profit since day one. And I've always had my eye pointed toward them rascally Ruskies o'er there in the Soviet Republic.

These days - we sit in our comfortable gaming chairs playing the PS3 or whatever shit the kids are into these days, as peace dwindles on the smoldering horizon of Georgia and we think all is well in the world. Ha ha - NOT!!!

What is happinging, ma friends, is that Russia understands what the rest of us understand but are scared to know - shit ain't in balance on the horizon. We have a lot of countries mad at the other - and it is now a time that these folk stop believing in defense and start believing in alliance. There can be one world alliance just as easy as there can be a bunch of pissed off prime-apes.

Oh, back to the story... Wanna know why Russia really wants Georgia? I bet you do! Maybe not. Story over.

Naw - they want it cause they are rebuilding the Iron Curtain. You see, the cold war is over but you didn't really think that shit was forgotten, did you? Not at all!! Good ole' bushie is building a missile "defense" sys o'er in Poland and it appears as a threat to the Soviets. Is it? I don't know. I have my opinions - but that's for another place. Anywho - I can't blame it all on them - or all on US - its been building for a real long time - but the significant portion of this rant is that we, as a planet are digressing into some stinkin' damned dirty ahhhhh.... Copyright infringement. Oops. You all really need to get yer ass off the couch and drop that there game controller and, I mean - You all gotta try real real hard to right the wrongs of the power-monger bourgeois cause we is all on the edge of mass extinction. When the world powers start to draw hard lines, it cannot be good for anyone alive. It's like a couple of drunk bikers in a bar arguing over some blond bimbo. Its all a show of ego. We wanted to exert strength through technology by displayin' our newest missile defense system. Russia felt threatened and used the only means they could understand which would be - take over a neighboring nation - albeit ever so small and helpless. Of course Unkie S. Will want to puff his chest a lil' larger and so-on... Next thing you got is a world war or some shit. That won't be very fun at all, will it?

So - I'm losing steam on this one - but you get the gist, I'm sure. If you wanna enjoy your pleasant American lifestyle, it would be a good idea to regain control of your gubment (for the people by the people). You do remember that they work for you? eh?

This is R-Evolution - So Evolve!!!

How's it feel to be a cow?

A young man in an elevator strangled and beat an old lady to steal her cane. I laughed a little and vaporized the both of them with my ass. It was a satisfying day if you ask me.

I discovered a new kick today - pulling open light switched and grabbing a hold of the live post - you know, just for kicks. I was riding the blue-white dragon today, 4 times, because it made me feel like sex. Its the ultimate nervous thrill. Yeah!

As you can tell by my influx of tidbits, there has not been a lot happening at the edge of the known universe. I went back to my job today. That's where I took 220 to the money, honey... I never said I was an electrician, but I landed the task of equipping the mother ship with new, energy efficient light switches. My chief electrical engineer jumped ship halfway through the operation leaving me a screwdriver and a box of components. Strangely, it was a fun day at work all together. Enough work talk though. I'm wasting both of our time and I haven't even gotten 6 beers in me yet.

Good night, y'all. Sleep tight, whatever galaxy you may be resting in. For those perpetual light / dark solar systems, well - ouch!! Glad I'm not you. The temperature dropped quite drastically last night as the first substantial rain showers in several months began to fall. The sky has been heavy, gray and humid, stirring thick with nostalgia.

We don't get a whole hell of a lot of rain on the edge of the known universe. Its usually just vacuous. I'd really like to get back behind the wheel of my RSS and hit the intergalactic highway. It gets boring sitting out here, in the middle of fuck-all waving my dick in the solar-wind and sucking down Pabst Blue Ribbon. Don't get me wrong - its great, but routine really bites.

On my last and latest escapade, I realized that I desperately need to find myself a cute lil' travel companion and her cuter lil' friend w/ a low self esteem to travel with. These journeys just aren't real exciting w/ out. So - ladies, consider this an invite for you and your hot friend to ride (the Reverend) down the intergalactic highway in style... ;) (apply here)

Back to the rant - You ever seen The Dukes of Hazzard? The original one that was on TV? Well, remember how stanky that town looked? Kinda a podunk pile of shit in the middle of bum-fucked Egypt.... Well - imagine that town, no Daisy Duke, popping up in a puddle of piss next to a hillbilly's toilet, and you have the edge of the known universe. 'Round here, we go to the bar to forget the men aren't women!

Oh yeah, before I forget, go here to learn great things about the energy crisis and some simple solutions.

Ok, So, I was down at the bar the other day, trying to forget the men weren't women, and just sweatin' down my sac like no other; and there were flies on me and they didn't care that I didn't care they were there - when, all of a sudden, like some strange dream, masked in a haze of space-dust and comet-steam backed by the bright light of the Owl Nebula, way off in the distant sky - a WOMAN walked in the front door. You better bet yer ass that every man there either dropped their drink - or their slumped, drunken bodies instantly hit the floor. It's been an eon since one of 'em stepped into our dank drink-pit. If you listened close enough, you could hear the leathery skin of every man there's prick creak and crackle like a rusty door-hinge as they all simultaneously, albeit slowly, woke up to stand at attention. A sound more disturbing than church. This beautiful gal and her 2 white teeth walked in and gave us all the stare-down. We was like a bunch of slobbering dogs dumbfounded with starvation and drooling. "Pick me, pick me!!!", Aurther the amputee was squealing quietly at the end of the bar. Without a word, lil' missy walked over to me, sensually stared me up and down, winked - then punched me square in the fuckin' nuts!!!!! I think everyone there felt it the same as me as there was not a snort of laughter when I hit the floor.

Turned out the dumb cunt was from the planet Lesbos, sister planet to the tiny island of Lesbos just outside of Greece on Earth.

Hell, everyone knows that all lesbians are from Lesbos.....

Its Not a Red Meat Kind of Hate....

It looks like we're drawing a line in the sand for the commie reds again - surely ushering in a new age of "Cold War". I think it is necessary, because they were never our allies - just our dependents. We accepted that responsibility in order to project the image of solidarity between the two world powers - but you'd have to be a damned fool to believe for a minute they cared about the well-being of the American people. Now that they have suckled from the tit until it has run dry, they no longer desire, no longer need our friendship on a world scale. This only leads me to ask, "Will we put Osama B. L. back on the pay-roll to help fight the reds again?" It wouldn't be the first, uh, second, uh...... Well, whatever time this is, good thing he's still kickin' huh?

It was 19 years ago, when Regan and Bush were the headliners, that I first visualized the Bush family as the catalyst for the end of times as we know them - and that belief is quickly developing into a harsh reality via his (Bush Sr.) sub-evil offspring. WWIII could be yours for the price of a few wii's -what do you think???? Fatten up yer kids, make 'em immobile so the goons can rape 'em w/ out effort - cause, you know, we wouldn't want to make it too difficult for our organized crime / gubment men to rape your children and their future and their innocence and their dreams - hell fuck children. Yes, I left on vacation yesterday. I'm home today. I had a blast in the hot springs. I may have even gotten hit on by an old man in a Speedo right as the sun set. When I got out I was shivering so hard it made my hands itch. Talk about strange....

....but STRANGE is waking up in the most beautiful, quiet, isolated camp-site around, looking out over the miles and miles of rolling hills and smog-laden cities and thinking to yourself, "I am just not enjoying this." It was like a tsunami wave breaking on Thailand - a heavy wash of depression swept over my entire body while I sat before a Universe state map trying to plan my next move. I had no money, no gas, no company - I had no thrill. The Thrill is gone.

There were moments in the travel that are of mention. You know - when the Reverend travels, freaky shit happens. This was by far the most tame of all my outings, as all freakish occurrences were directly related to your humble narrator acting a fool.

Let me begin with the 2 sorority sisters I followed up to 12,500 feet above sea level. I came out of the restroom, quite dizzy from the height, and saw 2 adorable, round-assed young co-eds complete with the freshman-5 and all heading up the side of the mountain. There was a terrible storm brewing just over the divide and I knew it wasn't safe for them without the escort of a horny older gentleman. It was a gruesome climb which caused my brain to stoke and small bursts of color enveloped my field of vision - however, the top did arrive just as I was sure god-himself (keep in mind, I'm a secularist) was reaching down to push me off the edge of the mountain. I lost the girls during my hallucinatory event, so I had to sort through a variety of other, hotter foreign women to find them. Viola!!! They was trying to take pictures of each other at the 12,500 ft sign. I stumbled in from the left to offer my assistance in creating a photographic moment that they both could share and was met with giggles and indifference. The pic happened and they quickly found their way off the mountain. Then I helped some dude w/ a pic in exchange for one of myself. The storm was just hitting hard (oh yeah, remember the storm?) so I went back to the truck and made my exit. On the way down I began to think my nut-sac was feeling kinda breezy. I looked down and the ole' barn door was swinging WIDE open. Score 1 for embarrassment.

I think I made mention earlier - but we'll move on to another tale of the bizarre: I went to the hot springs to relax. I was also curios about the clientele that would arrive after dark for the clothing optional bathe. I was getting excited when a stream of young couples - or, um, young ladies began to roll in. There were some lookers. Right dusk began to become night, a shaven man in a Speedo swam up and sat next to me. Though I was happy to have a conversational partner, I could tell this guy was trying to play "dirty pool". I was polite but not responsive - so he began to swim around in front of me. I grabbed my water and left him prancing in the steam. The drastic change from 110 degree water to 62 degree night air sent me into shivers so extreme that my palms started itching. It was hell, but I braved the extremes and made it to the truck to change. As I dropped my swim pants the van next to me lit up and about 10 high school girls poured out the side. Does that count as being naked w/ 12 teens girls???

I could go on - but I won't The rest of my tales make me out to be too pimp and wouldn't give all the other guys on this board a chance w/ the ladies.

I don't know what to do with the rest of this week. Maybe ride my cycle or get drunk on Pabst Blue Ribbon brand beer. Maybe I'll do both. This 2 day 1 night vacation was a 17 PBR trip altogether. Pretty light if you ask me.

Dr. Jekyl in in your Hyde.....

Its another night in August in this god-forsaken nebula!!! At least our dry spell was broken with a nice mid-afternoon asteroid shower. These, here, are the dog-days of interstellar summer if I ever done seen 'em. Let me tell you about a time - when I was vacationing in the Owl Nebula:

On that side of the universe it gets real hot around August. I was in my RSS (Recreational Space Ship) drinking a liquid nitrogen cooled Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and thinking about that sticky hot drop of sweat slowly running down my inner thigh, off of the underside of my sac - when, as if all of a sudden, a glovaklee - sort of an other galaxy dog-like critter with hippopotamus personality - came barreling out of a grove of teughtag (unpronounced toe-tag) straight toward the teughtag stump I was sitting upon. I was sure it was the end - I mean, have you ever seen a glovaklee?!?!? Well - there I was with this 7000 lb 3ft tall critter runnin' straight for me with the fury of Bob (that's right y'all, there is no god - only Bob) in its eyes, huffin' and-a snortin' and I was shakin' and peein' all down my leg - thus negating the tiny drop of sweat that had previously consumed all of my attention - and I was SURE that it was over for me. I bent down and I balled up in a little tiny ball - smaller that the fetus I grew big from - an I just cried. I could hear its 6 nurndurots pounding down on the dust creating a mighty cloud. It became hard to breath with all the debris in the air - then, almost as immediately as they began, the thudding nurndurots stopped in a magenta cloud of polyester dust and the glovaklee stopped and he looked down at me and he said, "Sure is hot... huh?"

Bleeding the Wealth

I often think about stuff, mostly when I'm having my morning Pabst on the bowl. My latest mental rant took me deep inside the human mind's power/control of the known universe. I've always been one to say the everything exists in the mind of the beholder - i.e. you can control your own universe. This morning I was re-thinking this "theory" after a very exciting chat with a geologist friend of mine, on Sunday, about mathematics and the binding hold they offer as a constant in this big if we call l-IF-e. In minutes she was able to equate my life-long theories into nothing more than half-baked farce. Well - don't get me wrong, my previous belief structure was based on years of getting stoned and over-thinking everything. I'm not abandoning the idea, just researching more scientific explanations. So, back to the story - I have, since a strange night in Vincennes, IN, held a deeply hidden knowledge that math=everything and everything=math. If you have an equation, you can have a solution, provided the intellectual powers to find it exists. Given the proper information, mathematics can find a solution to anything life has to offer us. Really kills my idea of free will and freedom, I s'pose. My friends husband had a real problem with this as well - he says the there is no constant in life. All choices are completely of freewill and are responsible for shaping your future. Beautiful, huh? Brings a tear to my eye. No matter what angle I look at it, now, I just can't believe it. On that strange night in Vincennes, IN, back in '90-something or another, I was sitting on the rooftop of an historic hospital from the French and Indian war and was slightly enlightened with many thanks to the late Albert Hoffman and was staring into the heavens, slightly shared with the branches of a nearby large tree (perhaps the most organic shape we know) and everything began to work itself down into a grid of tiny triangles. There was not a shape, a flow, a wave, whisp or poof - there was not a thing that did not break down into basic geometry. It was on that night I knew that my entire belief structure was on the line. It was on Sunday I knew I was correct. I guess that says a thing or two about my calculation skills - uh, 20-some-odd years to figure it out. Now I have to begin the actual study so I can back it all with the equations and explanations necessary. Prolly another 20 years fer that to come to fruition. Another friend recently suggested I turn in my art degree for on in environmental science - and to that, I say, "The global economy would be in fer a world of shit when that happens!" Perhaps all this is the revelation needed to set in motion another direction in life. I feel like a remainder - just kinda float around 'till I finally work myself out into a whole number. Math, ha ha. Hate it.

I have talked long enough for now - time to grill some meat.

The Dark-Purple Horizon (Part 1)

I'm sitting on the edge of time, ma friend...
Its cold, but the stars keep my eyes warm
under a tent of glitter-dust wanderlust
--There's a purple horizon

I want to go on as far as the desert view - forever
Its a philosophy

Dry winds whip my trailer windows - sandy, raspy breath
god-forsaken howling
coyotes? or the ribcage skeleton-cars begging for the return of their skin?

The spirits speak in whispery tongues
their fir flavored ideas - out loud -
spinning, dancing, in tongues, they sing ceremonial patterns into the neon sky....

Oh, where am I?

Opening Day Jitters

Hello, my fellow scoundrels and mutants...
